Mondi celebrates eight WorldStar Awards for outstanding packaging solutions

Mondi has received eight awards in five categories at this year’s WorldStar Global Packaging Awards. The WorldStar Awards recognise the best ideas, innovations and technologies on the market, with a focus on sustainability, product protection and end-user convenience. They are open to entries from packaging companies around the globe.

Zincografia Empolese and Ario Label Solution: A winning partnership for UV Flexo Printing

Asahi Photoproducts reported that its customers, Zincografia Empolese and Ario Label Solution, have been recognized with a prestigious award from the Italian flexographic association, Associazone Tecnica Italiana per la Flessografia (ATIF), capturing second place for Best UV Flexo printing with their first ever award entry. Zincografia Empolese has over 30 years experiences in the manufacturing of flexo plates for different markets. With locations in San Miniato (PI) and Manerbio (BS) Italy, the network guarantees sales and assistance services all over the country. The winning application, was printed by Ario Label, located in Bergamo, Italy; the company offers complete solutions in the production of adhesive and self-adhesive labels, automatic identification, and self-adhesive packaging.

Color-Logic now fully compatible with Adobe Creative Cloud 2023

Color-Logic has announced that their entire suite of products is fully compatible with Adobe Creative Cloud 2023. Said Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing Mark Geeves: “At Color-Logic, we take particular care to make all our software products compatible with the most current version of Adobe creative tools. The Color-Logic Design Suite for PhotoShop, Illustrator, and InDesign been released and may be found by licensed printers and designers in the Smart Centre area under installers. An optional upgrade expands the color palette to the full 924 metallic colors with embellishments. Color-Logic Touch7 Photo products for ECG (Extended Color Gamut) inks and neon/fluorescent inks are also fully compatible with the current Adobe Creative Cloud.”

Drewsen Spezialpapiere commissions its first photovoltaic plant

After Drewsen Spezialpapiere succeeded in taking the first step towards regenerative energy supply with the purchase of three wind turbines in July of this year, the investment in a 1.4 megawatt peak photovoltaic plant is now the next step. In mid-December 2022, Drewsen commissioned its first free-standing plant on a former brownfield site in the immediate vicinity of the factory. Within 2 months, 3,590 solar modules were installed over an area of 16,000 m2. With an expected electricity production of almost 1,300,000 kWh per year, they cover about one eighth of the external electricity demand in a renewable and climate-friendly way. The investment sum for this plant amounts to €1 million.
