Nazdar Ink Technologies, manufacturer of UV, water-based and solvent-based wide-format digital inkjet, screen-printing and flexographic ink products, is delighted to announce an exclusive development and OEM supplier agreement with M&R Printing Equipment, a North American manufacturer of printed apparel decorating equipment.
The partnership focuses on M&R’s Polaris high speed industrial direct-to-garment (DTG) printing system and the recently released Quatro direct-to-film (DTF) transfer printer. In this latest agreement, Nazdar and M&R will jointly develop a specialist ink set for M&R’s new Quatro printer. This builds on an existing relationship that began several years ago with the joint development of the high-performance Sapphire inks for use on the M&R Polaris DTG printing system. M&R has also executed an OEM supplier and global logistics agreement to ensure an uninterrupted supply of the new inkjet products for its customers and dealer partners around the world.
“We are proud to work with our partner, M&R, to develop and deliver inks for their industry-leading equipment,” Nazdar President and CEO Richard Bowles said. “The long-standing relationship between our two companies has been the foundation for our successful innovation of the Polaris and Quatro digital apparel inks.
“Presenting the Nazdar brand next to M&R’s is an exciting step forward to instil confidence in the customer through our shared dedication to high-quality standards. We look forward to partnering with M&R to develop solutions to meet the future needs of the digital inkjet apparel market and facilitate even greater performance and productivity going forward.”
M&R CEO Danny Sweem added: “While these types of OEM supplier relationships are very rarely made public, we felt that our customers would benefit in knowing that M&R was combining our 38 years’ experience in the design and manufacture of high-performance printed apparel decorating equipment with Nazdar’s more than 100 years of experience in the development of specialty inks and coatings for textile, graphic and industrial applications.”
