Faller Packaging acquires the property of All4Labels in Gebesee

Faller Packaging has acquired the property owned by All4Labels in Gebesee, a town in the German state of Thuringia. Its purpose is to establish a new production site for folding cartons and leaflets. The company based its decision on strategic analyses and a growth strategy that anticipates positive developments in Europe’s pharmaceutical and healthcare sector.

“Taking over the premises in Gebesee will enable us to implement our growth strategy without delay,” explains Dagmar Schmidt, CEO of the Faller Packaging Group. “Our existing plants would not be able to build up the necessary capacity fast enough; this location will allow us to act quickly and respond to the growing demand.”

In December 2023, All4Labels announced that it would close its plant for production of labels on account of the changing economic environment. In the third quarter of 2024, after relocating its production to other facilities in the All4Labels Global Packaging Group, it closed the plant in Gebesee and dismantled it. “We’re glad that Faller Packaging has taken over this property and found a suitable location for expansion in its growth segment,” says Dr. Günther Weymans, CEO of the All4Labels Global Packaging Group. “This will strengthen the local economy and possibly create new jobs.”

With this step, Faller Packaging is not only opening up new opportunities for the region, it is also making optimal use of the existing modern building and infrastructure. This will enable it to produce folding cartons and leaflets efficiently and expand its capacity at this location.

The plant’s central location in Thuringia and proximity to important centres of pharmaceutical production in Germany will give it strategic advantages. “The infrastructure is in good shape, and we expect to start production very soon,” adds Schmidt.

The purchase contract for the property in Gebesee was signed on 16 September 2024. Production is scheduled to begin in early 2025. By expanding its production capacity Faller Packaging is reacting to increasing demand in the pharmaceutical industry for sustainable packaging solutions and is strengthening its market position.
