Printing United Expo 2024: North American premiere impresses many visitors
The Printing United Expo 2024, which took place from September 10 to 12 in Las Vegas, was a big success for Muller Martini. The biggest draw at the booth was the new Hunkeler Starbook Sheetfolder, which was presented as a North American premiere in-line with the Vareo Pro perfect binder from Muller Martini.
Faller Packaging acquires the property of All4Labels in Gebesee
Faller Packaging has acquired the property owned by All4Labels in Gebesee, a town in the German state of Thuringia. Its purpose is to establish a new production site for folding cartons and leaflets. Heidelberg and Solenis agree on cooperation in the growth segment of paper packaging
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) and Solenis, a manufacturer of specialty chemicals, announce a collaboration in the field of paper packaging at Fachpack 2024 in Nuremberg, Germany. The aim of the agreement is to develop a cost-effective process to integrate barrier coatings for fiber-based packaging directly into the existing roll-fed flexo printing process with the Boardmaster from Heidelberg. Barrier coatings are used to prevent water or water vapor, hot and cold liquids, oils and fats from leaking out of or penetrating into paper packaging.
Exports up in 1st half of 2024, incoming orders below previous year
The German food machinery and packaging machinery industry increased its exports by 4 percent in the first half of 2024. In 2023, exports rose by 9 percent to 9.9 billion euros - a new record. Whether this level will be reached in the current year depends heavily on the further development of incoming orders.

Color-Logic updates user manuals
Color-Logic has updated the user manuals provided to printers and graphic designer customers. The update provides licensed users with detailed video instructions for quickly producing Color-Logic metallic print files and embellishments. As a result, Color-Logic manuals now support 133 languages using Google Translate, enabling any level of graphic designer to utilize the many Color-Logic metallic color palettes and embellishments for each of the metallic colors.
Mutoh introduces XpertJet C641SR Pro Printer/Cutter
Mutoh Europe nv, the EMEA headquarters for Mutoh Industries LTD., Japan, introduces its first-ever integrated print and cut device, the XpertJet C641SR Pro, a 24" (630 mm) wide model.
